Quick answer
For a first visit, choose a base with a direct connection and select two anchors from the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame rather than forcing all three into one day. Group Paris by riverbank and neighbourhood, book through official channels, and keep one afternoon without a major museum. Choose a transport pass from actual journeys, not the number of days alone.
Paris breathes by neighbourhood
In Paris, choose the rhythm first: stay near a useful arrival and departure line rather than chasing a supposedly ideal address. Keep the first afternoon close to your base and finish the final section with margin for luggage and the airport or station.
The practical limit is three priorities each day. One timed admission, one local walk and a relaxed meal usually create a clearer route than a chain of monuments.
A neighbourhood rhythm for four days
Day 1 · Arrival
Base, a short walk and dinner in the same sector. Avoid admission that a delay could waste.
Day 2 · Anchor and riverbank
Louvre or Notre-Dame, a nearby walk and a break. Do not schedule two major interiors.
Day 3 · Tower and west
Eiffel Tower or exterior view, one nearby neighbourhood and rest. Three priorities maximum.
Day 4 · Flexible neighbourhood
Montmartre, Marais or another area, only one; return with time to collect luggage.
Choose two anchors, not a collection of tickets
Louvre
Choose it when the collection is a genuine priority. Reserve a broad block and keep the afternoon light on the same riverbank.
Eiffel Tower
Confirm the exact product and time through the official ticket site. Build the walk around it without crossing Paris for another booking.
Notre-Dame
Check the official system and note that the reservation is presented as free. Distinguish booking, access and screening.
Official places and tickets
Louvre Museum
Book an official time slot and avoid priority-access offers on lookalike sites.
